We’re all familiar with Dr. Suess’ The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. For most of us, the Grinch is just a fictional weird green furry dude, sometimes played by Jim Carrey. Unfortunately, for some, the Grinch is far more real and far less funny. Hard times can hit at any time, but it’s especially rough during the holiday season. That’s why the SafeNet offices in Minneapolis and Milwaukee are doing what they can to beat the Grinch this holiday season.

SafeNet Minneapolis partnered with ResourceWest in Hopkins, MN to support their Toy Chest, an annual drive that collects toys for families hard-pressed to provide gifts for their children. Consultants and staff chose gifts to donate based on age-appropriate suggestions from ResourceWest: Items such as dolls, Legos and board games for younger children; For teens, phone accessories, headphones and gift cards.

SafeNet Milwaukee teamed up with Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin to adopt a family this Christmas. Children’s provided our team with the names and details of the family along with everything they needed or wanted for Christmas. Consultants and staff chose items to purchase and donate to the family’s wish list. Cash donations were also taken to help fill in the gaps. Toys, books, games and clothes, gift cards for groceries, household items and entertainment, were piled around the office Christmas tree.

During our Milwaukee Holiday Open House, consultants and staff personally wrapped the adopt-a-family gifts, giving the whole experience a real and meaningful touch. The Minneapolis office held their own Holiday Open House, where the Toy Chest donations were collected for delivery the week before Christmas.

SafeNet’s core values center around the “Three C’s:” Consultants, Clients, and Community. By providing gifts for families this holiday season, the SafeNet community puts its whole heart into giving back to the larger community. We encourage all to consider doing the same.

Together, we can beat the Grinch for those in need and do what we can to make sure everyone’s holidays are the happiest possible.
