Have you heard of the “Great Resignation”? Sources cite somewhere between 30-50% of Americans have plans to quit their job in 2021. So, what can leaders do to engage, grow and retain members of their teams?
We’ve assembled a panel of MN-based business leaders to share varying perspectives on this topic.
Join us, along with our co-host Celarity on Thursday, September 16, to hear from our speakers:
Kelli Williams is committed to supporting teams to help companies succeed.
As a marketing professional with 20+ years of experience, Kelli works with both Celarity and SafeNet Consulting as their Fractional CMO and actively leads and engages teams within both businesses. Kelli has a passion for relationship building, a track record of advocating for her teams, and understands that people are an organization's #1 asset. Her leadership and team-building experience within multiple industries and her active listening skills make her the ideal moderator for our panel. While moderating, Kelli will add her thoughts and perspectives to the conversation.
Kelli Schnieder is dedicated to employee engagement.
She has spearheaded several employee engagement initiatives at SafeNet Consulting to ensure all internal and contract employees feel supported and engaged -- especially over the last 18 months as SafeNet transitioned to a remote-first environment in response to the pandemic. As the President of SafeNet and a 20+ year technology industry veteran, Kelli hears directly from multiple clients nationwide about their challenges with engaging and growing teams. Kelli knows the importance of these topics first-hand and will bring a unique leadership, consulting, and recruiting perspective to the panel.
Gina Lemon is a human resources professional with a passion for engaging and motivating teams.
Her organization, Timberland Partners, recently won a Top Places to Work Award for commitment to employee engagement. Gina believes that organizations can only be as exceptional as the people working in them and that now is the time for leaders and teams to bring their whole selves to the workplace. As the VP of Human Resources, with more than 24 years in her field, and multiple career coaching certifications, Gina is well-positioned to bring a valuable perspective to this panel. Gina’s professional certifications include: SHRM-CP, PHR, MBTI, and MBI.
Brian Johnson is passionate about helping people find their purpose.
As a Senior IT Executive at Protolabs, Brian has had the opportunity to lead many teams over his 15 years in the industry. Through the work-from-home pandemic culture, Brian has focused on getting more personal with his teams and understanding them beyond their work performance. He believes companies that have the right people in place are best positioned for the future. Brian has published numerous articles on LinkedIn to share his perspectives on topics related to building high-performing teams and finding purpose. As a member of the panel, he will bring these great ideas and more.
Kelly Gunderson has spent the last year and a half listening to marketing leaders discuss how team engagement styles have changed amid the pandemic.
In particular, she notes a shift in focus that she’s seen in her many years in staffing and recruiting. Kelly is the Client Experience Director at Celarity and has the unique opportunity to build connections with leaders from various organizations throughout the Twin Cities. Her perspective will be valuable on this panel as she understands that professionals are now more aware of their career desires and are willing to take risks -- so it’s crucial for leaders to keep teams engaged and happy.
